ABOUT
INTRODUCTION
For more than twenty-five years Leopoldo Cuspinera Madrigal has been focused on the dynamic relationship between landscape and memory. His works are representations of the past, present, and future spirit of place, in a single moment. As humans continue to plunge into the future, the land is depicted as an immense keeper, as a memorial even, and radiates an ethereal quality. This is in part the result of mixing recycled paper and paper pulp with resins and pigments. Oils, chalk, charcoal, gold, silver, and bronze are used to enhance what emerges from the dialog between Cuspinera and the material.
BIOGRAPHY

Cuspinera also has participated in artistic and architectural projects related to liturgical adaptations, iconography and conservation, recovery and resignification of cultural assets and curatorial work. He has completed postgraduate studies related to the history of art and architecture, defense of cultural heritage, and museumization.
